I started the shot with Jonas jumping, but it ended up being as he turned after. He was selected to do the opening tip off.
The bracket that REALLY matters in March. Our ward has an annual tournament with teams like the Orange Crush, Yellow Lightening, and the one the boys played on the Silver Wise. They won their first game, but lost their second by one point in overtime. Everyone plays who wants to, so the teams have at least one woman and young woman. It is quite the hoot and they talk about it for months.
This was the first team they played. I forgot to say that some of the costumes and uniforms for this tournament are hilarious.
One of the half time shows was the Bishopric and High Priest Group leaders doing a men in black routine. The smoke made the picture a little fuzzy. Bishop Howard is the second from the left, he is a great guy and always ready to do whatever is asked of him.

Finally getting to hit the slopes!
Jonas and Jaren finally got to his the slopes again. We got a couple of nice snowstorms and they had a great day on the snow, with no broken arms. Jonas hated wearing wrist guards, but I insisted. We will talk about next season. I thought the icicles looked really cool on the tree, with gutters on the house we don't get any at home. They have been able to go up in the afternoons in the middle of the week and it is not crowded, they have loved that. Snowbasin is only twenty minutes or so from the house and way convenient. Of course when Jonas broke his arm I had dropped him off and gone home to do some unpacking, but most of the time I sit in the warm and cozy lodge reading. So I really like to go snowboarding too!

New recipe!
Doug came home from a hunting trip in Texas with a new recipe. Jalapeno bacon wraps! They are so yummy and not hot Casey! You just cut the pepper in half and seed, then fill with cream cheese and wrap with bacon. Then grill on the barbeque until the bacon is cooked. They are so good!

Another new grandson!
Brady Lewis Wilde was born on February 5, 2007 to Broc and Joanna. Everything went great and even Papa got to be there for this one. Joanna convinced her doctor to induce her when he was going to be in town, the fact that she was way sick of being pregnant, and totally ready. We all think he looks a lot like his daddy.

The Cast comes off!
Jonas was way excited to have his cast off, but real bummed when the doctor said he couldn't snowboard for another month. His arm was healed only 80% so he needed to behave or the doctor would put another cast on. Needless to say, he agreed.

Snowblowing
We did invest in a snowblower after moving into the house in Farmington. The boys couldn't wait to use it, although it was a mild winter and they didn't have to much of an opportunity to use it, they did manage a time or two. I figured I would take a picture so you could all see.

Winter snow
A view out the front door of Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake.
This is out the back door, the funny thing is that Pink ( the dog)
really likes the snow and loves to play in it when it is fresh powder.
After we got back from Redding, we got a wonderful snow storm that blanketed the valley. We were glad it hadn't come a few days earlier as we were driving back. A note on that was that Jaren drove for a couple of hours and learned to use the cruise control on the car.

Christmas '06
Doug's favorite, Clive Cussler books, with Dirk PITT character of course.
Jonas loved his BYU tie, go Cougars.
Jaren ready for the snow.
Doug got me a Nativity set, with all the girls gone, we were Nativity setless.
The snowman Joanna and Broc gave me for Christmas. I also got a new one from Jenna and Casey that is adorable too!
